Turkeys are ordered and sides are assigned, so many of us are turning our attention to Black Friday and Shop Small Saturday. Downtown Boise put together a list for Small Business Weekend, which you can find here. We thought we’d do the same.

As you make your weekend plans and holiday shopping lists, buy as much of it locally as possible. Amazon’s free two-day shipping is tempting, but when you spend money in your community, it stays in your community. It goes back to the makers, the farmers, the small business owners who cut paychecks for your neighbors and do good in your community. You’ve heard me say it over and over, but buying local is how you can have control over the health of your area.
