Meal Planning for Your Garden
Are you a meal planner? I try my best to make a weekly meal plan, create a list of ingredients and go grocery shopping, but somehow, by midweek I’m either tired of cooking or bored by my once-exciting meal plan. This is especially true for me in the wintertime, when my garden isn’t forcing me to eat all of the things before they become overripe. Can you relate to the rut?
Luckily, this time of year is when I start to plan my garden, and I love to do that with my favorite meals in mind. From my weekly pizza night to my daily salad for lunch, my stamina for cooking and meal planning can only be sustained by my excitement in the garden. That’s why I created a Garden Plot Meal Plan challenge that I’m sharing with y’all for free. If you’re someone who aspires to meal plan or who doesn’t know where to start when it comes to gardening, here’s the first step: Grow What you Already Eat!
When you click on the image above or follow this link, you’ll get to download a meal plan for your garden that I personally use to decide what to grow. Starting Monday, January 4, I’ll send you a daily email with a guide to taking the next step in planning your garden. We’ll grow through what grows when, how to create an actual planting plan for our current garden space, and how to buy seeds and plants.
All of these steps are ones that I personally take, and a great way to see how I coach my clients. At the same time as this meal plan, I’m launching the Boise Kitchen Garden Club, a subscription-based membership program for those who need regular guidance but don’t necessarily require 1:1 coaching. You can learn more about the Boise Kitchen Garden Club by clicking here.
I know that my New Years resolutions are a lot easier to keep if I have some accountability from a community. The Boise Kitchen Garden Club community will include monthly guides, weekly emails and daily access to a private Facebook page, so that you feel supported to grow more confident as a kitchen gardener.
Every garden season starts with a first step. The Garden Plot Meal Planner is the exact first step I take, and I hope it helps remove some overwhelm for you when it comes to your spring garden season.
