This week in Boise Kitchen Gardens

Y’all the weather has been absoutely stunning and it’s only Tuesday, April 15. Make tax day go by with a little photo essay of the gardens we’ve been tending and creating this week and last.

First up, these gorgeous leeks and lettuces harvested in the foothills garden this morning. Aren’t they just stunning? The secret the good, girthy leeks is thinning them. That’s one of the benefits to our garden maintenance service - we’ll thin them when you don’t want to. So many of our gardeners hate to thin their root vegetables, but this is the result! Aren’t they stunning?

I just had to share this picture - the sky is stunning in our foothills garden. The trees are leafing out as the beds fill up with greens.

Happy brassicas, chard, lettuces and newly planted nasturtium in our riverside garden beds. Peas are climbing the trellis and enjoying the sunshine.

Newly planted beds in our Eagle project. I am so excited to share this project with y’all. A “garden in the round” has been on my bucket list since I began the business. A before/after coming soon!

The beginnings of our project on the rim for the very talented Kirsten Grove. She’s been a dream client of mine forever, and I am so excited to build out this garden concept.

That’s a wrap on last week and this week’s goings on in the gardens. People keep asking me if I am just SO busy right now, and with the amazing team I have, I feel so lucky to say that so far, this spring has felt easy breezy in so many ways.

All that to say, I’m headed over to Provence to check out some gorgeous garden inspiration and enjoy the markets, so my out of office will be on. If you’d like to get on our list for spring planting, click the button below! I’ll get back to you when I return.
